Bastille Festival

Immerse yourself in the je ne sais quoi of French culture at Sydney's annual Bastille Festival! This event transforms the city Circular Quay with over 70 stalls offering all your favourite French dishes such as escargot, crepes, raclette, macarons, croissants, saucisson, and an array of exquisite cheeses.

 

The festival’s wine program is equally impressive, featuring French wine bars spanning Bordeaux to Provence, cosy mulled wine chalets, and French craft beer bars in First Fleet Park.

 

There will be live entertainment all weekend and a 1.4-kilometre tasting trail exploring eight French wine regions for a truly immersive experience.

Messina Eats is hosting a Block Party with the Pizza Oltra team, known for their vibing playlists, deep dish square pies, and larger-than-life American-style pizza rounds. Enjoy pizza by the slice or whole, with ranch and crispy chilli oil dippers, along with crumbed and fried lasagna bites.

As part of the Bastille Festival, Cadmans Cottage will once again transform into a charming open-air movie theatre. Enjoy iconic French themed movies with the warmth of mulled wine, cosy blankets, and stunning views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour.


From July 11 to July 14, Le Mulled Wine Cinema will host ten sessions, with tickets priced at $22 each. Catch films such as Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge!, Coco Before Chanel, Pixar's Ratatouille, La Vie En Rose, and more.

From 18 to 21 July, Tumbalong Park will come alive with the free Winter Park festival, featuring a gaming zone, outdoor movie screenings, slime workshops, kids entertainment and nightly winter skies fireworks show. It's the perfect spot for a day out with friends and family or a date night!

Bondi Festival

The 17-day Bondi Festival returns in 2024 with a stellar arts lineup, including the famous ice-skating rink and Bondi Ferris Wheel. Highlights include body-positive life drawing classes, Seaside Sketch Sesh, The Bondi Social dance event, and the wine-tasting comedy show "In Pour Taste."  


The event finishes with the Gould St Street Party on 20 July. This all-day event will feature an array of eats and beats, local brewers, local bands, artisan markets, pop-up shops, and interactive workshops and a free photo booth.
